The signal horn at 6 P.M. on Tuesday 25th September brought down the curtain on the 58th edition of the Genoa International Boat Show which looks like to be a new record edition. For the organisation with this edition they have not just achieved excellent results in terms of visitors and business, but also as in terms of local marketing, in a moment certainly critical for the whole Liguria region. Indeed, the numbers certify this unquestionable success – with 174.610 visitors, + 16% more than last year .
The 2018 edition will also be remembered as the first to have received the official visit of a President of the Republic. The President, Mr. Sergio Mattarella reached “the Superba” on Monday 24th in the morning and, after meeting the local authorities and a group of children left homeless after the collapse of the Morandi bridge, visited the Hall B where accompanied by the president of Ucina, Carla Demaria, he first saw the law enforcement stands and then he admired the sailing and the big yachts area. Here he stopped in front of Mylius’s yachts, in particular the Mylius 80′ which was also the flagship of the Boat Show, and he congratulated Mrs. Valentina Gandini who was on the stand.
After being exposed until last Sunday at the Cannes Yachting Festival, the Mylius 80′ has now moved to Genoa for the 58th edition of the Boat Show. Here it will be the flagship not only of our shipyard, but of the entire sailing sector that will show off in the city of Lanterna. For the occasion alongside the “Twin Soul B” it will be moored the new Mylius 60′ (launched in August). Genoa provides us the opportunity to let the world see side by side our two main projects of the 2018.
Looking forward to meeting you at the Stand B5 from Thursday 20th until Tuesday 25 th.
