Mylius 80’ DS
Deck Saloon
A Blue Water Cruiser offering all you need for offshore Mediterranean and ocean cruising, with great habitability, stowage spaces , navigation autonomy, and seaworthiness.
The concept of the new Mylius 80 DS project was to renew the previous Mylius 76 DS (a few units of this model have already been launched since 2015), but while preserving Mylius’s distinguishing features, design, marine skills and performances. A MYLIUS goal is also to consolidate the company’s experience in the up-to-24 LOA mt. of LOA flagship class.
The MYLIUS 80 DS hull and deck have therefore been entirely redesigned, and now feature almost 24 mt LOA and 6.30 mt. Max Beam.
Due to the new yacht’s bigger design displacement, the sail plan has been also resized, and now offers an upwind sail area of almost 350 sq. mt. and 800 square meters downwind. These features, together with the full carbon construction and the 33.0 tons design displacement (35% as ballast in light ship conditions) set the Mylius 80DS at the up-24mt cruising class leading edge.
In accordance with the previous version, the deck layout keeps aft large external spaces, crew kept free; there is a dedicated access to service areas and a protected guest area that transitions seamlessly. Besides that, the redesigned, smaller deckhouse gives great elegance and a slender look to this yacht.
The MYLIUS 80 DS project offers two internal layouts, featuring 5 or 6 cabins. They all preserve the MYLIUS 76 DS rational distribution, but thanks to the bigger new hull volumes, the guest’s area and saloon dimensions have been substantially increased in this project. Moreover, the lifting keel choice is now always possible.
The master cabin has a dedicated big head and shower located at the forward area of the yacht; the two guest cabins, all with en-suite heads, are midship. An additional guest cabin, also whit its en-suite head and directly connected to the saloon, is offered in the lifting keel layout version.
The aft area is dedicated to the crew and services. The galley is just aft the saloon; both versions show crew accommodations for 4, with a toilet and shower, as well as separate access from the cockpit (one central in the 6 cabin version, two lateral in the 5, in any case from the cockpit).
The engine room is located under the dinette floor, with other access also being possible from the galley compartment. This allows easy and immediate inspection of the main on-board systems.
The yacht includes practical internal and external storage facilities, a bow spicy sail looker, and a stern-wide garage, which allows the storage of a big dingy ( up to 4.10 mt LOA in the 5 cabin version)
